Dr. Pankaj Hans, Nephrologist: Profile, Appointment, Kidney Helpline

Dr. Pankaj Hans is one of the best nephrologists of Bihar. He is currently working as Consultant, Nephrology with Ruban Hospital, Pataliputra Square, Patna.

I visited him when my nephew had developed kidney problem. I was referred to him by my family doctor in Bihar Sharif. There is huge rush at Dr. Pankaj Hans and it is not easy to get appointment. He sees limited number of patients and reports daily that is why this huge rush.

I got appointment ten days after making the request for the same.

Appointment can be made on telephone also.

My first impression with Dr. Pankaj Hans was mesmerizing. He turned out to be a very humble person with high level of patience. My nephew is only 4 years old and hence we were quite anxious. We bombarded many questions to him.

He patiently listened and replied in a very polite manner. In between, he remained friendly with the kid and let him speak out all problems.

Doctor asked for some tests. On the third day, we again visited his chamber with all reports. He told us to not worry and prescribed some medicines. He asked us to get tests done again after 14 days.

The symptoms started to improve within three days. He didn’t prescribe any steroid. The diagnosis was for AGN – a type of kidney inflammation.

Tests done after two weeks turned out to be on expected lines. The kid was prescribed to remain on some medicines for two months. He was fine now. His kidney was working perfectly with no damage or inflammation.

In the end, I would say that Dr. Pankaj Hans is really a good doctor. He has worked with PMCH, IGIMS, Patna and Apollo, Delhi. In Bihar, there is no match of him when it comes to renal ailments.
